MEET SAMANTHA

Founder of Art & Lace | Aesthetic Director & Stylist

Hello

I’m Samantha, and this is my studio.

Fashion was never a phase for me.

I was sketching gowns in elementary school, certain I would one day open a boutique of my own. Retail became my first classroom at sixteen, and from there the path unfolded naturally — fashion merchandising studies, fine art courses, graphic design, photography, visual merchandising, and leadership roles across national brands.

For nearly two decades, I worked inside the architecture of retail — shaping spaces, styling collections, leading visual strategy, and traveling nationwide for store openings and remodels. My specialty was always the same: cohesion. Visual language. The way clothing, environment, light, and narrative intersect.

Art & Lace was born from that foundation — not from trend, but from structure.

THE EYE BEHIND THE BRAND

Before bridal, there was visual merchandising.

Before that, photography.

Before that, art.

I’ve styled everything from storefronts to editorials, from mannequins to live clients, always through the lens of proportion, texture, and tonal balance. I’ve studied both film and digital photography, worked alongside sought-after creatives, and traveled internationally — including Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week — absorbing the nuances of European bridal design and presentation.

What most see as “pretty,” I see as visual language.

Silhouette communicates.

Color carries emotion.

Texture defines presence.

Bridal styling is not decoration — it is composition.

WHY ART & LACE EXISTS

After years inside retail, I began to notice something missing in the bridal industry.

Gowns were being sold.

But wardrobes were not being directed.

Brides were choosing dresses before defining aesthetic.

Accessories were added later.

Photographs were left to chance.

There was beauty — but rarely cohesion.

Art & Lace was created to fill that gap.

The Lace Edit methodology grew from this realization:

Bridal style should be structured, layered, and intentional from the beginning — not assembled in fragments.

BEYOND THE STUDIO

I am also a writer, artist, and photographer — creative disciplines that continually inform my styling work. I recently completed my memoir and share poetry alongside the visual world of Art & Lace. Each discipline sharpens the other.

At heart, I am an artist who built a boutique — not the other way around.

Motherhood has deepened that lens further. My son, who is beautifully on the spectrum, has shaped how I see perception, sensitivity, and detail.

Creativity and structure coexist in our world — and they coexist in my work.

THE FUTURE OF ART & LACE

Art & Lace is evolving beyond a location.

Through The Lace Edit Journal, digital styling frameworks, and future educational offerings, the goal is simple:

To teach brides — and creatives — how to see wardrobe as identity, not just inventory.

Art & Lace is not about volume. It is about vision.

And everything I build begins with that.

With love,
Samantha

“Samantha is absolutely amazing. She made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. She was funny and easy going. Aside from her being amazing she has beautiful dresses. Not too overwhelming at all. She knows how to accessorize following your lead. She wasn’t trying to upsell, but genuinely wanting my vision come to life and oh boy did she make that happen. I’m so happy I went here for my bridal dress. I can’t wait to pick it up I’ll be dreaming of it till then.”

STACY CANEPARI

“I had an amazing experience at Art & Lace. First off, the shop itself is beautiful. The owner, Samantha carries high quality dress designers. The dresses all have amazing detail and come in all styles from sleek to whimsical. Samantha herself is wonderful! I was planning a wedding in 2 weeks (yes, 2 weeks!) and I connected with Samatha instantly and she put me at ease. She assured me I could find the dress I wanted without sacrificing, but never pressured me. She is willing to sell any sample and discount them according to condition. She also helped me find a tailor that could support my timeline! I could not ask for better service! My guests all commented that I looked like I had been planning my wedding for a year. I cannot thank Samantha enough!”
